"Taxi To Jannah", a new comedy by Mark Sickman, directed by Donald Douglass, was a thought provoking, often hilarious success. It played at Queens Theatre in the Park from February 3rd - February 6th and at 59E59 Street Theaters from February 8th - February 20th

Set in present day New York, "Taxi to Jannah" answers many perplexing questions. Can Nasrudin, a clever and plucky Muslim taxi driver, succeed in building a storefront mosque in a derelict storefront church? Can he overcome the resistance of the local mosque hierarchy, the disdain of his father-in-law, the building department, his wife's desire for a new kitchen and his son's basketball dreams? Where will a humble taxi driver find the money for this ambitious project? Taxi to Jannah is a bumpy ride to paradise.
